Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large, shallow non-aluminum baking dish or a resealable plastic bag, pour 1/4 cup of Wish-Bone® Italian Dressing over the chicken breasts. Ensure the chicken is evenly coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 3 hours, turning the chicken occasionally to ensure even marination. (Marinating time: 30 minutes - 3 hours)

02

Step

While the chicken marinates, prepare the tomato mixture. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, diced red onion, and finely chopped fresh basil. Add 1/4 cup of the Italian Dressing and mix gently to combine. Cover the bowl and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. (Marinating time: 30 minutes)

03

Step

Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade, discarding the used marinade. Preheat your grill or broiler to medium-high heat. Grill or broil the chicken, turning once, and brush frequently with the remaining 1/4 cup of Italian Dressing. Continue cooking until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), approximately 12 minutes. (Cooking time: ~12 minutes)

04

Step

Once the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the grill or broiler. Serve the marinated tomato mixture generously over the grilled chicken breasts. Enjoy immediately.

For an enhanced flavor profile, consider adding a clove of minced garlic to the tomato mixture.
If you prefer a milder onion flavor, soak the diced red onion in cold water for 10 minutes before adding it to the tomato mixture.
To ensure even cooking, pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness before marinating.
Feel free to experiment with different types of tomatoes, such as Roma or cherry tomatoes, for a variation in texture and flavor.
