Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large bowl, grate the shallot using the medium plane of a grater, ensuring you capture all the flavorful juice. Add the ground turkey, mayonnaise, steak sauce, and dried parsley to the bowl. Gently mix with your hands until all ingredients are just combined. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and carefully form each portion into a patty. Season the tops of the patties with half of the garlic salt and freshly ground black pepper. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Lightly coat a large skillet with cooking spray and place over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, carefully place the burgers in the skillet, seasoned-side down. Season the opposite sides with the remaining garlic salt and black pepper. (2 minutes)

04

Step

Cook the burgers until a rich golden-brown crust forms on the bottom, approximately 4-5 minutes. Flip the burgers and continue cooking until they are no longer pink inside and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), another 4-5 minutes. (10 minutes)

For optimal juiciness, avoid using extra-lean ground turkey. A little fat is essential for flavor and moisture.
Do not overmix the turkey mixture, as this can result in tough burgers.
Ensure your skillet is properly heated before adding the burgers to achieve a good sear.
Consider adding a slice of cheese during the last minute of cooking for a melty finish.
Serve on your favorite buns or lettuce wraps with your preferred toppings.

I used a little bit of onion powder in addition to the garlic salt, and it added a nice depth of flavor.

I didn't have steak sauce, so I used a mixture of ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, and it worked perfectly.

Next time, I'll try adding some finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes to the mix.
