Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and 2 tablespoons of orange liqueur. Stir until smooth and set aside. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a separate bowl, using an electric mixer, whip the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. (7 minutes)

03

Step

Gently fold approximately 1/4 of the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined. Then, incorporate the remaining whipped cream, ensuring a smooth and homogeneous texture. (5 minutes)

04

Step

In a shallow dish, mix together the orange juice and the remaining 2 tablespoons of orange liqueur. (2 minutes)

05

Step

Quickly dip the ladyfingers, a few at a time, into the orange juice mixture, ensuring they are lightly soaked but not soggy. (10 minutes)

06

Step

Arrange the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer at the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. (5 minutes)

07

Step

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the layer of ladyfingers. Then, sprinkle half of the cocoa powder over the mascarpone layer. (7 minutes)

08

Step

Repeat the layering process: soak the remaining ladyfingers, arrange them over the cocoa powder, spread the remaining mascarpone mixture, and dust with the remaining cocoa powder. (25 minutes)

09

Step

Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 5 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the tiramisu to set completely. (300 minutes)

For an even richer flavor, use high-quality dark cocoa powder.
Don't over-soak the ladyfingers, as this will result in a soggy tiramisu.
A light dusting of orange zest over the finished tiramisu adds a beautiful aroma and visual appeal.
Feel free to experiment with other citrus liqueurs like Cointreau or triple sec.
