Melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter in the same skillet over medium heat. Ensure the butter coats the bottom of the skillet evenly. Once the butter is bubbly, pour in the egg mixture and allow it to cook undisturbed until the bottom of the eggs begins to set, about 1 minute. Gently lift the edges of the omelet with a spatula to allow any uncooked egg to flow underneath. Continue cooking until the center of the omelet starts to look dry, approximately 1-2 minutes more.
