Recipe View Infuse with Flavor: Place one beef bouillon cube into the core of each onion. Top the bouillon with 1 tablespoon of butter, dividing it evenly. (5 minutes)

Recipe View Wrap and Protect: Wrap each onion tightly with heavy-duty aluminum foil, ensuring there are no punctures or tears. This will create a steam pocket and prevent the flavorful juices from escaping and burning. (5 minutes)

Recipe View Grill to Perfection: Place the foil-wrapped onions on the preheated grill. Cook for 30 to 60 minutes, or until the onions are tender and caramelized to your liking. The cooking time will depend on the size of the onions and the heat of your grill. Rotate the onions occasionally for even cooking. (30-60 minutes)

06 Step

Recipe View Rest and Serve: Carefully remove the foil-wrapped onions from the grill. Let them rest for 5-10 minutes before opening the foil, as the steam inside will be very hot. Serve immediately and enjoy the explosion of flavors!

For a vegetarian option, substitute vegetable bouillon cubes for the beef bouillon.
Add a pinch of your favorite herbs, such as thyme or rosemary, to the onion cores for an extra layer of flavor.
If you don't have an outdoor grill, you can bake the foil-wrapped onions in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for approximately the same amount of time.
Be careful when opening the foil packets after grilling, as hot steam will escape.

I used vegetable bouillon to make it vegetarian, and it was still delicious. My family loved them!

I accidentally punctured the foil on one of the onions, and it did burn a little. So, definitely be careful with the foil! But the ones that didn't leak were perfect.

These onions were amazing! The beef bouillon and butter created such a rich and savory flavor. I will definitely be making these again!
